It did been a long day for me at work. And there I was trying to catch up on some life’s secrets by reading the book ‘Secret’ by Rhonda Jane, and my bright girl & Angel Aarushi was upto something messy. In my irritation at her messiness and at being distracted while reading, I reprimanded Aarushi and thats when she asked me “MAMMA…Are you following the secret?” I was zapped for a minute and taken aback at this least expected query . I said ” Well ….Why do you say so Aarsuhi?” to which my angel said…’Why Mamma, this book says that one should be Kind to everyone and be positive..so are you being Kind to me just now?’ So what have you learnt from this book?’
My 6 and half year old-Aarushi, incidentally has a love for reading and is a voracious reader of all children’s books that I get her. Compared to children her age, she started reading early. I often tell her Moral’s of each Story she reads. But a child would bother reading elder’s books was something I least expected. I asked her ” How do you know what’s their in this book?’ to which Aarushi said, I read it for a while. I was dumbfounded, by this question posed to me and it did make me think of the moral of my story” Secret of Life- lies in little Joys of learning with your children, as they grow up and prepare to fly”.
